# Time: surprise

|
|
|
|
{急|きゅう}に means that something happened unexpectedly or quickly.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
This means "suddenly", "unexpectedly", "unintentionally". Emphasis is on the lack of intention.

## たとたん
|
|
|
|
